Folk costume might seem old-fashioned at first glance; however, the ethnic details and fabrication make it a feasible and contemporary subject to explore. This collection is inspired by the Ukrainian traditional costume of Cossack Era (14th-21st), where clothes were worn with a sense of ease. This translates well into a collection where clean and wide cuts are juxtaposed with bold coloured ornaments such as embroideries and trimmings.
