COURSE OVERVIEW

The programme will introduce new ideas and practices and encourage students to think about the purposes of landscape design in contemporary society. This is a practice-based programme which will develop student’s technical knowledge, creative skills and analytical ability that will enhance their professional competence in a frequently changing working environment. A whole spectrum of design activities aptly applied in professional practices and draws its strength from the way functional blocks of landscape space planning are integrated to facilitate the consideration of different approaches to achieve optimum solutions.

CERTIFICATION

At the end of the programme, students will receive Professional Diploma in Landscape Design awarded by Raffles College of Higher Education

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

  • Advanced Diploma in relevant design field or
  • 2 years of relevant working experience in design field.

And, candidates must have good knowledge of the following software programmes:

  • Photoshop
  • Sketch-up
  • 3D Studio Max

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Students whose native language is not English must submit evidence of proficiency in the language. Students must meet the minimum English Standard as stipulated below to commence their registered Advanced Diploma/Bachelor/Master courses with Raffles College of Higher Education.

Applicable to students with Diploma / Higher NITEC / NITEC or equivalent (based on Recognition of Prior Learning)
Master of Commerce (1 Year)
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 5.5, taken during the last two years
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 525 (Paper-based) or 70 (Internet-based), taken during the last two years
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 620
  • GCE 'O' Level English Language Examination of C6
  • Completion of Advanced English with Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.0, taken during the last two years
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 550 (Paper-based) or 79 (Internet-based), taken during the last two years
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 650
  • GCE 'O' Level English Language Examination of C6
  • Completion of Advanced English with Raffles College of Higher Education, Singapore
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 6.5, taken during the last two years
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 575 (Paper-based) or 90 - 91 (Internet-based), taken during the last two years
  • TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) with a minimum score of 700
English Speaking Countries Non-English Speaking Countries
Course is undertaken solely in the English Language The study was completed in an institution which is listed in the International Handbook of Universities, World Higher Education Database, UK Naric Database or AEI NOOSR guides and is conducted and examined solely in the English Language
  • Preparation course approved by RCDC as a basis for admission*
  • Senior secondary qualification accepted by RCDC*
  • 1 (or more) Year(s)- Post-secondary study at an RCDC recognised institution
  • 2 (or more) Years - Senior secondary qualification
  • 2 (or more) Years - Post secondary Diploma qualification
  • 3 (or more) Years - Undergraduate programme
  • 2 (or more) Years - Postgraduate programme
  • 3 (or more) Years - Undergraduate programme
  • 3 (or more) Years - Undergraduate programme
  • 2 (or more) Years - Postgraduate programme
The College reserves the right to verify applicant's standard of English through English Placement test for applicants applying through Part B. (*Only applicable to RCDC Programmes)
Students who do not meet the minimum requirement as stipulated above will need to take the Raffles College of Higher Education's English Placement Test
