INDIA – International Women’s Day has been widely celebrated by more than 40 countries worldwide on 8 March every year. The event makes an active call for the acceleration of gender equality and has become rather prominent in India over the years.

Raffles Mumbai joined in the chorus of celebration for the event that marks the plight and achievements of women for more than a century. To mark this significant occasion, a set of 10 quotes by iconic women and celebrities such as Malala YOUSAFZAI and Beyonce KNOWLES were displayed on walls within the campus as a symbol of strength, confidence and inspiration to young girls who aspire to achieve great success. The students were given the opportunity to post messages for women who have inspired and motivated them either within or outside Raffles. They extended their appreciation for their creative practitioners by writing beautifully-crafted messages.
