Singapore – “The pursuit of one’s own dream is to me, The Beauty of Life” said local celebrity Sharon Au, Head of styleXstyle. Holding true to that, Sharon’s positivity and energy inspired many Raffles students as she visited Raffles Singapore in April 2015.

Her creation, StyleXstyle, is the first fashion community portal successfully launched by MediaCorp. Sharon’s leadership spinned off the Asia Style Collection, a FashionXMusic extravaganza which brings Asian talents together on one giant runway. In partnership with Samsonite Red, styleXSamsonite Red will be organising its first fashion boot camp.
In a 6-week boot camp, 15 Raffles Fashion Marketers will receive a one-to-one mentorship from fashion veterans in the media industry. Each will receive a SamsoniteRED bag equipped with the necessary material for success in style. Their milestones and hardwork will be celebrated with a Graduation Ceremony at the end of the bootcamp and they will receive the graduation certificate from mentors and take a photo with many MediaCorp celebrities!

This fashion boot camp will be an amazing opportunity for Raffles Designers to learn from the fashion experts and carve a career in the media or fashion industry in future. I was really elated to meet Sharon and the styleXstyle team to introduce Pleatation to them and hope this might spark off some amazing collaborations.” remarked Raffles Fashion Designer Chiang Xiaojun, founder of Pleatation.
Sharon shared her inspiring life stories and her journey to be the successful person she is today, and this conjured the fire within our Raffles Fashion Marketers to pursue their own dreams and successes.
