SINGAPORE – It was a proud moment for Raffles Design Institute at the Harper’s BAZAAR Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Award 2016!

Raffles Fashion Designer, William UTAMA, was crowned the winner of the Harper’s BAZAAR Asia New Generation Fashion Designer Award 2016 held on 27 October at National Gallery Singapore. The Raffles Sydney graduate’s collection was inspired by the rawness of street culture, and a rebellious yet evocative beauty. He fuses edgy, eclectic designs with intricate details and textile treatments that present contemporary elements through a blend of traditional tailoring and innovative craftsmanship.

We thank Harper’s BAZAAR for supporting Asian designers and for recognising the talented winners from Raffles Design Institute: Harvee KOK, Sean LOH, Sheila Agatha WIJAYA, Peggy HARTANTO, William UTAMA, Wilsen WILLIM and Junn TAN.
