CHINA – Raffles Beijing was pleased to receive the invitation from ISPO Beijing, the leading multi-segment sports exhibition in Asia which is focused on winter sports collections. The team of Fashion Creative Practitioners, Fashion Marketing and Fashion Design students attended the exhibition.

ISPO Beijing has been established for fourteen years and it is a well-known establishment in boosting the Asian sporting apparels and accessories sector. It is one of the most important trade shows for sports and fashion professionals in the Asian-Pacific region. It has successfully built a sustainable market segment for the brands, manufacturers, retailers, the media, and sports enthusiasts. New products, technologies, brands and events are introduced to business owners, professionals, and the media at this platform.

During the visit, Raffles Beijing’s Creative Practitioners and students received a warm welcome and an enriching tour from the ISPO Beijing representative. The most advanced technology and forecasted trends were shared during the visit, keeping Raffles Beijing delegates all excited.

It was astonishing to see so many innovations in the sports industry, and how technology has an influence on the latest trends in sports fashion, fabrics, and styles. Looking at this piece of equipment, one will be amazed by the sophistication from coding to actual production of a seamless piece of sports fabric.

In the afternoon, students had an opportunity to attend the sports fashion trend forum, to listen to the industry expert sharing about Sport Fashion and colour trends in 2019 and 2020. Ms. Louisa SMITH, International Textile Trends Consultant, the speaker of this topic, gave a tour to explain more about the topic and answered all the questions from students and creative practitioners.
