SINGAPORE – 20 February 2016 underlined the success of Raffles Singapore Open House. Held at Raffles Education Square, the event attracted over 200 high school students and their parents who were engaged in an eventful line-up of activities.

This open house gave prospective students a preview of Raffles Singapore curriculum through fun and creative workshops. The students and parents witnessed how Raffles Singapore transforms our students to successful designers and entrepreneurs. They get to meet Raffles students and our international pool of creative practitioners of the learning process and career progression in their choice of discipline.

The students were also enthralled and inspired by Raffles Designers Amos YEO and Audradee Sae-Lin at the Raffles Designers’ Talk session as they share their success stories and entrepreneurial journey. Besides the Raffles Designers’ Talk, Raffles Singapore was honoured to have Mr Jason POMEROY, the founding principal of Singapore-based Pomeroy Studio and Dr Lee Cheng, a Psychiatrist and President of Silver Ribbon (Singapore) to share the importance of design and application of psychology knowledge on building sustainable businesses.

What really intrigued the students were the meticulously-designed workshops by Raffles Creative Practitioners. Raffles Singapore emphasized on developing and harnessing its students’ creativity and imagination through skills-based and studio based learning environment. Each workshop was conducted in out-of-the box approach that accentuated the unique features of each Raffles programme, challenging the students to explore new boundaries. These workshops helped to unleash the inner designer and entrepreneur in them.

 

We empower the young and provide them the opportunity to turn their passion into a lifelong career upon completion of their studies at Raffles Singapore.
