Tao
The inspiration behind my mini collection is from a Taiwanese aboriginal tribe, Tao. The Tao tribe is not known by most people, but what makes them unique is their sense of fabulous patterns and carving craft, that has strong colours of red, white, and black. Motifs such as the eye of the boat, the wave-like zigzag pattern, and the blue colour, which represents the ocean, appear in Tao’s traditional costumes.
