Uncontrollable Beauty
The inspiration for this collection is from the sculpture Venus de Milo. In its present state, the work of art is broken and incomplete, but this imperfection makes it unique and aesthetically beautiful. At the same time, artists who create Automatic paintings, such as Jackson Pollock, portray their emotions through their work which are both bold and erratic. I am using both ideas in my collection by incorporating shattering patterns and randomness with coloured stones to portray the idea of uncontrollable beauty.
