Abstract Expressionism of Deep Ocean Species
My collection is inspired by the abstract expressionism paintings of Jackson Pollock and Willem De Kooning. Abstract Expressionism is explored, via deep ocean species like fang tooth, vampire squid, and frog-fish, through the synthesis of its changing nature of forms, derived as shapes of expressions capturing different moments, as an expressive mode of interaction with objects that the species come across in their water moments.
