Imperfection
The collection was inspired by the Japanese concept of “Wabi-Sabi”, a design philosophy that sees beauty in the imperfections of an object. I applied “Boro” technique, which refers to the tattered or ragged, and combined with “Sashiko”, a hand stitching technique using embroidery thread, together developing a pleasing composition.
