Johor Bahru of Iskandar rank 21st in "The Most Liveable City in Asia for Expatriates", published by ECA International for both year 2014 & 2015. The assessment were based on the quality of living based on climate; availability of health services; housing and utilities; isolation; access to a social network and leisure facilities; infrastructure; personal safety; political tensions, and air quality. With strong drive from Iskandar Regional Development Authority and Iskandar Investment Berhad, the areas of assessment shown significant improvements since 2005.
There are more and more new investors coming to Iskandar, e.g. Johor Premium Outlet developed by Genting Simon, a joint venture between Genting Group and Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort by The LEGO Group, DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton, The Hershey Company (NYSE:HSY), Microsoft, Country Garden (SEHK: 2007), Greenland Group "the China largest property developer, R&F Properties (SEHK: 2777)" the largest property developer in Guangzhou China. Those investments required a consistent stream of talents to join them to develop the organisation.

STUDYING AT RAFFLES JOHOR
Currently operating from its temporary premises at Menara Kotaraya, Jalan Trus, Johor Bahru, Raffles University Iskandar will develop a state-of-the-art campus on a 65-acre plot of land in EduCity@Iskandar. EduCity comprises universities and institutes of higher education, academia industry action and R&D centres, student accommodations, as well as recreational and sports facilities. It is the first of its kind in Asia.
