Singapore – At the Official Opening of Design Orchard, the new home for Singapore labels in Orchard Road, Minister for Trade and Industry, CHAN Chun Sing, said this street must continue to be a place of innovation and evolution, where new concepts and experiences can be tried out.

Raffles Singapore would like to congratulate Raffles Fashion Designer, Afton CHEN and Raffles Fashion Marketer, Louis Benjamin KOH, Founders of Reckless Erika, on the official opening at Design Orchard! Founded in 2009 by Raffles Fashion Designer and Winner of Triumph Inspirational Award 2008 Afton, and Raffles Fashion Marketer Louis, Reckless Ericka is committed to craftmanship, becoming the alternative voice to fast fashion and bringing consumers the highest quality apparel. Reckless Ericka also dressed Adam LAMBERT, Sara NURU, Rebecca TAN, and Nadya HUTAGALUNG, won the Best Costume Design at M1 – The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards 2016, and retailed in Design Orchard – a new home and showcase for local design.

Executive Director of Enterprise Singapore’s Lifestyle & Consumer Cluster, Ms KEE Ai Nah, also wore a Reckless Ericka dress at the official opening of Design Orchard, to support homegrown designers!

Raffles Singapore’s Principal and Programme Director Joe SPINELLI was present to show his support to the two outstanding Raffles graduates.

The College is proud of Reckless Ericka’s achievement and looks forward to more exciting works from the two “reckless” design entrepreneurs, who never fail to inspire people.
