Enriching The Community

Singapore – Raffles Academy of Continuing Education (RACE) continues to extend its collaboration with the Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) in the CDAC Job and Skills Training Fair 2015 for the 4th time.

This year, CDAC Job and Skills Training Fair was held on 24 & 25 July 2015 at Tampines Community Plaza Open Space. Raffles Creative Practitioner, Sandra FIE conducted 2 sessions of hands-on contemporary jewellery making workshop, the ‘blessing’ brooch and necklace beads over the 2 days event. Sandra showcased her design creativity in her demonstration which attracted interested audiences to stop and learn how to create their own jewellery pieces. The turnout response was good and participants showed great enthusiasm.

The event aims to create awareness of skills upgrading and training opportunities among the workers and the public. Through this platform, CDAC will be subsidising 95% of RACE Contemporary Jewellery Design short course fee to those who fulfill the requirements.

Raffles College of Higher Education is proud to be part of this initiative to encourage learning in the community!
