GREATER NOIDA –  With the aim to inculcate awareness and to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (EI-Cell) of JRE Group of Institutions was set up on 26 August 2016. The event was inaugurated by Dr Ajay KELA, President and CEO of Wadhwani Foundation.

Also speaking on this momentous occasion was Mr Suman SASMAL, Managing Director of NEN India & Southeast Asia, and Ex-Head of the Infosys Development Centre at Bangalore, who urged students to pursue an entrepreneurial career. Dr C.S.SHARMA, Director of the Institute, congratulated the faculty advisers and students for this endeavour. He spoke of how the EI-Cell is instrumental in promoting, guiding and mentoring entrepreneurship among students. Following which, Dr Anil K. TANEJA, Dean of School of Engineering, expressed his support for the EI-Cell.

Dr Rajdeep DEB, Convener of the EI-Cell welcomed the congregation of students and teachers, and thanked them for showing positivity and enthusiasm towards the event. Some of the projects undertaken by the EI-Cell members were on display and were well-appreciated by the visiting delegation from Wadhwani Foundation. An interactive session with the students was then organised after the inauguration. The students participated enthusiastically in a one-to-one discussion with the guests that went into overtime after the function ended. The students were in tune with the fact that the interactive session was highly beneficial to them and looked forward to similar events in the future.
