Italy – Organised by Pola Cecchi, daughter of GIULIACARLA CECCHI, this competition commemorates the spirit, style, rigour, and skill in transforming fabrics and innovating production techniques that distinguished the work of GIULIACARLA CECCHI. The theme of the competition was “the research, elaboration and transformation of one or more fabrics for the creation of a high fashion design”.

Raffles Fashion Designers Li Wen TAN, La WIN LWIN, Michelle JUS, ZENG Wen Ping, and YAW Tang Ling beat hundreds of entries from all over the world to be finalists at the GIULIACARLA CECCHI Competition 2018.

Led by the Principal and Creative Practitioner of Raffles Singapore, Mr Giuseppe (Joe) SPINELLI, the designers embarked on a cultural trip in Florence, Italy for the finals.

Raffles Fashion Designer Li Wen TAN emerged as 1st runner up at the prestigious competition and she joins past Raffles Fashion Designers in the finals of 2016 and 2017 to represent Asian Fashion Design in Europe.
