Riyadh – On the 27th of March, Dr. Wafa Al Rushaid received at Raffles Riyadh the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Mr. Lawrence Anderson and his wife. Raffles Riyadh is the first cooperation of the Kingdom with Singapore in the field of design education. During the meeting, they exchanged cultural conversations that concerned the two nations in addition to reviewing issues of mutual interest.
The Singaporean Ambassador and his consort also met with the students of Raffles Riyadh in an open meeting in which the students presented their future aspirations and developed their understanding of the level of education provided in the various design branches available in Raffles, including Interior Design, Visual Communication Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing and Management and Jewellery Design.
Ambassador Anderson expressed his admiration for the Saudi students’ desire to study design and their aspiration to create a change in innovation and contribute to future investment in the field through their education. Dr. Al Rushaid assured the Ambassador that the employment rate of Raffles graduates reaches 75% and this is under the banner of Vision 2030 and complies with the initiatives of His Highness the Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which is today one of the most important principles which the young men and women of Saudi Arabia apply in their plans for education and their wider futures.
