Urban Farming with UGrow Gardens at the Rooftop of the Tallest Hotel in Singapore

Singapore – Urban farming at the tallest hotel in Singapore, Swissôtel The Stamford, has generated both social and commercial outcomes by Design!

Achieving social and commercial outcomes using Design Thinking is the key objective of Raffles Product Designers taking the Industry and Community Engagement module.

Mr. James LAM Mong Wai of UGrow Gardens, which is located on one of the rooftops of the hotel, shared about the variety of vegetables and herbs he is growing on-site to supply to Clove, an all-day dining buffet restaurant in the hotel.

Mr. LAM would like to collaborate with Raffles Product Designers to develop a system or equipment to better support rooftop farming in a sustainable manner.

Stay tuned to be part of our effort to support environment-friendly businesses in a sustainable way by Design!
